Hallwayのフロントマンとして2000年より活動を始め、シンガー、ソングライター、作曲家、プロデューサー、俳優、キュレーターとして20年にわたるソロ活動を成功させたNakayamaは、シアトル音楽界で最も活動的で認知度の高い人物の一人となった。メロディアスで複雑、そして感情的な説得力のある音楽でこれまで、NPR、New York Times、The rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eMelonday\u003c\/a\u003e』（Porchlight Records）をリリースし、ファンを驚かせた。The Shins、Sufjan StevensのYuuki Matthewsが共同プロデュースし、M83、Paramore、Tame ImpalaのDave Cooleyがマスタリングを担当した『Melonday』は、Seattle Times、KEXP、Seattle Met Magazineの年間トップアルバムに選ばれ、KEXPのNWチャートで初登場1位を獲得した。翌年には、Megan Griffith監督の長編映画『I'll Show You Mine』や、Shin Yu Paiがホストを務めるKUOW（Puget Sound region’s #1 radio station for news）のポッドキャスト『Ten Thousand Things』の音楽を担当し、SMASH（Seattle Musicians Access to Sustainable Healthcare）のためにDave Matthewsと楽曲を共同制作した。2024年にはCrosby Stills and Nashの「\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/tomomusic.bandcamp.com\/album\/our-house-from-house-of-ninjas\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eOur House\u003c\/a\u003e」をカバーし、Netflixシリーズ「House of Foxes、Michael Hurley、Sons of Kemet、Ben Gibbard、Fruit Bats、Damien Jurado、Buffalo Daughter、Wye Oak、Shugo Tokumaruらとステージを共にしている。さらに、Sera Cahoone、Jherek Bischoff、Jeremy Enigk（Sunny Day Real Estate）、実験的ダンスカンパニーMalacarneとの共演やコラボレーションも行っている。また、Elliot Page、Rosemarie DeWittと共演したLynn Sheltonの映画『Touchy yuuki bandの原型となるバンドを結成し、翌2010年kitiレーベルよりファーストアルバム『stars in video game』を発表。\u003cbr\u003e2012年にセカンドアルバム『TEMPESTAS』発表後、ARABAKI ROCK FEST.を始めとした様々なライブイベントに出演するも、2013年にバンド活動を休止。\u003cbr\u003e2015年にソロアルバム『夜と火』を発表してからは弾き語りでの活動を続け、2018年にはシアトルのシンガーTomo Nakayamaらと共にアメリカ西海岸ツアーを行う。\u003cbr\u003e現在はoono yuuki
