Temporary Closure Notice Due to Approaching Typhoon

Hello, this is Yuki Yamamoto from JIYUCHO and FUTO in Kuramae, Tokyo.

We would like to inform you that both JIYUCHO and FUTO will be temporarily closed on June 3rd due to the approaching typhoon.

The typhoon is expected to pass closest to Tokyo this afternoon, bringing heavy rain and possible transportation disruptions. After careful consideration of the safety of our guests and staff, we have made the difficult decision to close for the day.

Guests with reservations for today are being contacted individually by email. Of course, no cancellation fees will be charged due to this temporary closure.

We are planning to resume normal operations from June 4th onward, and we would be delighted if you would consider visiting us on another day.

If visiting us on another day is difficult, you are also welcome to purchase a TOMOSHIBI LETTER set at our shop once we reopen.

If setting aside two hours for the full letter-writing experience is difficult during your trip, you can take the letter set back to your hotel or another comfortable place, write your letter at your own pace, and post it from a mailbox in Japan before returning home. We will then deliver it to your address one year later.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who had planned to visit us today.
