A Flower Gift Wrapped in Ichirin Housoushi

Did you know that when you reserve a plan at JIYUCHO or FUTO, you can also request a single flower to be prepared at your seat?

You may let us know the colors or atmosphere you have in mind, and when you leave, we wrap the flower so you can take it home or give it to someone special.

We have now renewed that wrapping.

The new original wrapping paper is called Ichirin Housoushi. The name carries the feeling of wrapping not only one flower, but also the thoughts behind it. Printed on the paper is a poem titled News from a Flower, written by JIYUCHO owner and poet Shohei Koyama, in both Japanese and English. The flower is sealed like a letter with a wax stamp before being handed to you.

I do not know much about the beautiful meanings of words.
But bringing flowers feels much more honest.
I learned this little by little from friends, films, and novels.
Flowers are woven by people.
A more eloquent expression than any sentence.
To hold flowers in my hand
is the most beautiful poem I have ever written.

News from a Flower

When you give someone a single flower, there is often a quiet time of thinking before it: what kind of flower would suit them, what color might match the feeling you want to send, what shape of kindness you want to place in their hands.

We believe that the flower chosen in that way carries the time spent thinking of someone, and the gentleness that cannot always be said out loud.

Ichirin Housoushi was made with the hope that those invisible thoughts could be wrapped together with the flower and delivered softly.

It is lovely as a gift for someone important, and also as a gift to yourself. We hope you will take it home together with the time you spent at JIYUCHO or FUTO.

You can make a reservation to visit JIYUCHO or FUTO from the reservation page.
