FUTO's sweets appear on TV...!

Our lanterns were featured on two television programs between May and June!

So, let me tell you a little about the broadcast♪

◼︎ Hirunandesu! (Aired June 17th)

This segment involves walking around town and the goal is to be able to have tea or a meal if you can correctly identify a shop that has been open for less than a year .

Takashi Yoshimura of Heisei Nobushikobushi, Keiko Egami of Nicche, and singer Midori Oka, who were strolling around the Asakusa-Kuramae area, also stopped by Futou.

The store is scheduled to open in December 2023, so unfortunately, that wasn't the correct answer... The store was buzzing with excitement as the event ended. Lol

What I remember most is when Ms. Egami said, "Just imagining writing a letter to the future brings tears to my eyes..." and Ms. Yoshimura immediately responded...

"(It looks like this person needs a rest, so) could we look after them for a year? Lol"

He said this while offering Ms. Egami to him.

To this, owner Koyama replied without wavering, "Oh, we don't have anyone in our care... 😂"

Laughter erupted in the studio.

They also featured some sweets, and in particular, they highlighted the banana bread 🍌 (first photo).

This popular item features a rich sweetness created by incorporating plenty of ripe bananas and baking it slowly for about 70 minutes.

Actually, the bread is sourced from the bakery run by my father (the store manager), and my family seemed happy about it while watching TV.

◼︎ Moyamoya Samaazu 2 (Aired May 30th)

In this episode where we visited interesting shops in Kuramae, we made a final stop at Futo!

The comedy duo, Summers, enjoyed tea time with "A CUP OF LETTER" ☕️

"This is delicious," they said, enjoying the chocolate cake. ☺️

Meanwhile, in the meantime, announcer Yo Saito, who is in her second year at the company, wrote a letter to the future for us ✍️

It was a lovely letter that made me feel that she is surely gaining a lot of experience while working on the program with these two seasoned veterans, and is steadily taking steps on the path to becoming a fine announcer. ✉️🥹

I believe that through the laughter-filled interactions of the cast members in these two broadcasts, viewers were able to learn about the lanterns and the charm of Kuramae.

Once again, thank you so much to all the program staff!

Whether you watched the program or not, please feel free to drop by and visit us when you're strolling around Kuramae or Asakusa! ☕️✉️
