"TERRA HAYAMA" opens in Hayama, the hometown of BEAT ICE 🌱

The Yamaguchi couple, who run "BEAT ICE," the ice cream shop we serve at Futou, have opened a new rental accommodation in Hayama called "TERRA HAYAMA" 🎊

Owner Yamaguchi introduced the inn in this way on his Instagram: 😌

A landscape is surely something that has been nurtured over time as human activities and nature slowly intertwine.

Here, the distance between visitors and Hayama slowly begins to unravel.

The natural rhythm woven by the sea and mountains, and the stories of the people who live here.

As you interact with these things, time seems to slow down a little, and your breathing becomes more balanced. I would be delighted if you could spend such a moment here.

This tranquil space, infused with the warmth of wood, is adorned with art and photographs inspired by the terraced rice fields and nature of Hayama, making it the perfect place to spend a relaxing time. 🌿

I'm happy to say that they've also displayed a poem by the owner, Koyama. ✍️

Furthermore, the inn is just a few minutes' walk from Isshiki Beach, where you can see Mount Fuji across the sea.

Summer is the perfect time to enjoy swimming in the ocean or simply relax on the beach 🫧

Using the accommodation as a base, spend time in Hayama as if you were living there.

🍨 What is BEAT ICE? 🍨

This ice cream is made with amazake (sweet rice drink) brewed from rice grown in the terraced rice fields of Hayama, and combined with plant-based milk. 🌾

With its refined and gentle sweetness, it pairs well with coffee and tea. ☕️

We also helped with the rice harvesting, and we love not only the delicious ice cream, but also the air of Hayama and the warmth of the people who live there. It's one of our most important places. 😌
