Takashi Yanase x Taku Izumi's slide musical is being revived and screened at Fūto 🎥✨

We are pleased to announce that a revival of the slide musical will be performed at Futou for three days from September 29th to October 1st! 👏✨

The performance will feature five works written and directed by Takashi Yanase, with music by Takusan Izumi.

These are mostly plays that were performed in the 1980s and 90s, but apparently some are being performed for the first time in about 70 years! 😳

This time, the story will be presented through readings and songs, accompanied by illustrations by Takashi Yanase, by the musical company "It's Forlies," which, like Fūtō, is based in Kuramae. 🤝

It's Forlies is a theater company specializing in musicals, founded in 1977 by composer Taku Izumi. Based in Kuramae, Taito Ward, they perform throughout Japan.

I think each of these works is something that can be enjoyed now that you're an adult, as it allows you to reflect on various things through the story 😌 (Of course, children are also very welcome 🙌)

We're so excited to see what kind of space it will be, with live voices and songs, and live piano accompaniment! ✨
