TOMO NAKAYAMA and oono yuuki Live at FUTO

Hello, this is Yamamoto, the manager.

As the title says, we will hold our first music live event at FUTO on Saturday, April 13.

Event name

TOMO NAKAYAMA and oono yuuki: UNPLUGGED LIVE SERIES Otobanchi.

Overview

This is an unplugged two-person live performance by TOMO NAKAYAMA, who is returning to Japan for the first time in seven years since his 2017 tour and whose music has also drawn attention through Netflix's House of Ninjas, and his close friend oono yuuki.

The event will be held on Saturday, April 13. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the performance starts at 7:00 pm. The venue is FUTO, Petit Doll Kuramae 101, 3-15-4 Kuramae, Taito-ku, Tokyo.

Performers are TOMO NAKAYAMA and oono yuuki. Tickets are 4,000 yen in advance or 4,500 yen on the day, plus one drink order.

Why this live event matters to us

One of the artists we are welcoming, TOMO NAKAYAMA, known to us as Tomo-kun, is someone who has had a major influence on the life of FUTO owner Koyama. Koyama has spoken about him many times in interviews and podcasts.

When Koyama was studying in Seattle, he met Tomo, who was working at a cafe while active as a singer-songwriter. One day, Koyama saw Tomo singing naturally before a full audience on a grassy field and felt that his life had been decided in that moment.

That Tomo is now coming from Seattle to Japan. And at FUTO, he will perform together with oono yuuki, a close friend he first met during Tomo's 2014 visit to Japan.

We often play Tomo's records in the shop. His music, with its gentle voice that feels almost like a murmur and melodies that are nostalgic and beautiful, seems to loosen a heart or body that has become stiff. It feels perfect for FUTO at night.

I will be meeting oono-san for the first time, and I am very much looking forward to hearing the music live and welcoming him at FUTO. Koyama also apparently saw the tour seven years ago when Tomo and oono first performed together.

Please come and spend a relaxed night immersed in music. Seats are limited, so if you would like to join, please purchase tickets early.
