Yominoichi Special Project: A Letter and Selected Book Delivered One Year Later

Hello, this is Yamamoto, manager of JIYUCHO and FUTO.

JIYUCHO will be joining Yominoichi, an event that brings together distinctive bookstores and stationery shops from around Japan, from February 21 to 23.

At our booth, we will sell JIYUCHO goods and books, offer a casual letter-writing experience for your future self, and prepare a special project created just for Yominoichi.

TOMOSHIBI LETTER & BOOKS

For this project, visitors write a letter to their future selves on a special postcard at the JIYUCHO booth and fill out a book-selection sheet. About one year later, a book selected especially for you will arrive together with your own letter.

The postcard design is also a limited Yominoichi edition.

We hope the experience feels like receiving two gifts at once: a message from your past self, and a book chosen for you by a bookstore you like.

Participating Bookstores

You can choose from six selectors:

• Umeda Tsutaya Books, limited to one person per day
• TIGER MOUNTAIN, limited to three people per day
• BOOK SHOP TRAVELLER
• Chapters bookstore
• Yominoichi Office
• JIYUCHO

Some of these bookstores do not usually offer book-selection services, so this is a special opportunity created for the event.

Plans

You can choose from three plans depending on the amount and type of books you would like to receive.

• Casual: 3,900 yen including tax, one hardcover book or two paperback books
• Standard: 4,900 yen including tax, one to three books from a wider range
• Premium: 6,900 yen including tax, one to four books from a broad selection that may include photo books

Available plans differ by bookstore, so please check at the booth on the day of the event.

This project is for book lovers, of course, but also for people who do not usually read much and would like a joyful encounter with a book. We hope you will try it.
