Once a month, JIYUCHO sends out the Monthly JIYUCHO Letter. This issue was written in the cold season, gathering news from JIYUCHO and FUTO together with the warmth that becomes easier to notice when the air is chilly.

Cold days continue, but perhaps that is exactly why small warmth feels clearer. A hot drink held in both hands, a kind message, a light in a window, or a conversation that lets the shoulders relax. In winter, these things seem to reach us more directly.
At JIYUCHO and FUTO, we hope to remain a place where visitors can notice such warmth inside ordinary days. Whether you come to write a letter, read a poem, or simply spend time quietly, we would be happy if the space becomes a small shelter from the cold.

JIYUCHO is open on weekdays from 13:00 to 18:00 and on weekends and holidays from 10:00 to 20:00. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, except when they fall on holidays. FUTO is open on weekdays from 13:00 to 18:00 and on weekends and holidays from 10:00 to 20:00. It is closed on Tuesdays, except when they fall on holidays.
Because we use dynamic pricing, visits before 11:00 are more affordable and often quieter than peak hours. Winter mornings have their own calm, so please consider coming early if it suits your day.

We have continued to prepare small experiences and items that can accompany letters, words, and time spent thinking. Some are made for gifts. Some are made for the person who needs a quiet pause. Some begin as conversations among staff and slowly take shape.
Whenever we create something new, we try to ask whether it can hold a real feeling. Does it help someone write? Does it make a memory easier to keep? Does it give warmth to a day that was otherwise passing by too quickly?
The answer is not always immediate, but we keep making, choosing, and arranging with that question in mind.
A recommended poem in place of closing words
This month, we recommend a poem that seems to gather warmth from within the cold. It is not the loud warmth of celebration, but the quiet warmth that appears when someone remembers, waits, writes, or speaks gently.
