“Dear Future Me” — a new poetry series has begun!

Hello, I'm Yuki, the store manager.
Autumn is the season for reading. What books have you read recently?

Today, we have some great news for people who love reading, as well as those who find it difficult to find time to open a book.

Shohei Koyama , the owner of Jiyūchō Futō and a poet, has created poetry collections and word-related items, and has also published poems in a section called "This Morning's Doodles" on the store's website.

And now, the series has begun with a new title, "Dear Future Me".

At the beginning of the publication page it says:

“Dear Future Me” is a series in which Shohei Koyama—poet and owner of JIYUCHO — delivers poetic words in Japanese and English, like letters to his future self that trace the subtleties of everyday life. I hope this becomes a place like your mailbox where postcard poems arrive.

By the way, the handwritten poem below is the first piece in the series, “When I start.”.

One day I found it quietly published on our site and thought,
“Oh—it’s begun!” 😄

And so, softly yet joyfully, Shohei took his first step,
and the new series “Dear Future Me” began.
